One Door Closes, Another Opens

At the end of May, a pause became necessary. A stopgap - to rest, to reset the nervous system, and to create space for Uri to grow into a sole venture. Sometimes stepping back is the only way to step forward.

Life in London was beautiful in many ways - especially the connections - but often balanced on a knife’s edge, both personally and financially. For years, the dream lingered: a move beyond the city, closer to the sea, with more space for work to expand and for a little one to flourish.

In the years leading up to the move, core rituals began to slip away. Without them, it’s easy to lose sense of self. And yet, the return of simple, daily practices can bring everything back into alignment. When rituals are steady and consistent, a rhythm returns. What once felt uncertain begins to soften, and with patience, the closing of one difficult door often reveals another - lighter, more open.

Here are the practices that have supported this transition - gentle starting points that may also guide you:

  • Breath practice - begin with ten minutes a day, allowing space to lengthen naturally to twenty or more.

  • Movement - tune into your energy levels; some days it’s ten minutes, other days it may become twenty or more. Let the body decide.

  • Body depicting - practices that bring you into presence and connect movement with emotion.

  • Natural rhythms - allow the body clock to guide waking and resting. For some, early mornings carry clarity; for others, creativity arrives later in the day.

The advice may sound simple - even familiar - but the power lies in consistency. Day by day, these practices build into something transformative. They restore balance, sharpen clarity, and unlock creativity. With time and patience, they bring out the best version of the self: grounded, aligned, and open.

When one door closes, another often opens. The key is to be present enough to notice - and steady enough to step through.
