Pocket worn at the waist, for the maker who likes there tools close.

Cut as a single curved panel that ties at the side, with one welt pocket sitting flat to the body. It follows the line of the old tie-on pockets that working women wore between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, worn over the clothes rather than hidden inside them, a small carrier for the things a working day needs close to hand.

Made slowly in small batches in London.

A vintage sourced blue micro check, hand loomed, cut so the ends of the belt fall on the diagonal. Tied, the check sits on the bias. The welt pocket is panelled in a Chinese blue check, the same cloth backing the pocket, with a cream linen panel running the length of the belt.
